Cookie Cho

A plain-language note on cookies, local drafts and the difference between website storage and files you choose to keep.

What the supplied site code uses

The static HTML, CSS and JavaScript supplied for this website do not set cookies or use localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB. They do not include analytics, advertising trackers or embedded third-party media. Navigation and scroll effects work using the current page’s memory.

Hosting or security infrastructure can have separate behaviour that is not established by these static files. Any additional services introduced by the website operator should be assessed and reflected in this notice before use.

Contact drafts are not cookies

The contact composer holds its draft in the current page. It does not deliberately save the text to persistent website storage or send it to a server. Your browser may restore form fields or page state using its own features, so closing a tab should not be treated as a secure deletion method on a shared device.

Choosing Copy text writes to your device clipboard if your browser allows it. Choosing Download .txt creates a file for you to save. Clipboard history and downloaded files can persist independently of the website, and clearing cookies does not necessarily remove them.

Browser caching and technical records

Your browser may cache site files to make later visits faster. Hosting systems may keep ordinary request and security logs. A cache or server log is not the same thing as a tracking cookie. See Your Data Here for more about technical information associated with delivering pages.

Your controls

You can manage cookies, site data, cached files, form history and permissions through your browser settings. You can also clear clipboard history and delete downloaded message files through your device. The exact controls depend on your browser and operating system.

Blocking cookies should not prevent the supplied garden guides, navigation or local composer from working. Clipboard access can be restricted in some browsers or outside a secure context; the composer provides a text-selection fallback and a download option.

Questions or changes

If optional storage, analytics or third-party integrations are added later, their purpose, provider, duration and any required choices should be explained before they are activated. For questions about the current site, contact [email protected].
